Fascinating project. Like taking water and splitting it into its elemental hydrogen and oxygen, OYC has created separate musical worlds. Mr. Horberry’s ‘Vol 1: At Variance’ evokes awakenings and the sun peeking over the horizon at dawn.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, Mr. Hulme’s ‘Vol. 2: Into the Pleasure Garden,’ are darker dreamscapes and evoke midnight.
You can hear how these two voices create harmony in other OYC releases, here, though they each have a turn in the spotlig the Sanguine Penguin

Extraordinary when 40 years into (just one of) their career(s) (they all have vocations outside of music), some of the best ideas and implementation of those are readily flowing. I couldn't be more pleased to support and enjoy what they've done, what they are doing, and what they've yet to show us. Highest recommendation. Anthony Childs

"The paradox of an infinite string of unique moments informing the repetitive nature of being. The Unification of Inner and Outer Life as the last track’s title suggests? That’s probably impossible. But this album might help getting closer to that goal. Music triggering the weight and scale of the human experience."
